MileOneCares Partners with DRIVE SMART Virginia to Educate Local Teens

We know there's no shortage of distractions for all drivers out on the road, let alone brand-new ones. That’s why we partner with DRIVE SMART to provide hands-on learning experiences to students who are new drivers to ensure they're aware of how important safety is behind the wheel.

This year, we visited several schools throughout the Hampton Roads community where over 2,200 students participated in a virtual reality texting and driving simulator, tried their hand at an impaired driving cart course and walked through a mock traffic stop demonstration. 

At the end of each educational session, students are encouraged to sign a Buckle Up, Phone Down pledge to protect themselves against hazards and other distracted drivers on the road.
