Chrysler 200 Keeps IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Rating for 2016

We care about driver safety here at Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Virginia Beach, and from the latest results released by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), it's clear that Fiat Chrysler Automotives does too. Why? Because for the second year in a row, the Chrysler 200 has received the highest possible rating from the nonprofit organization: Top Safety Pick+.

And the Chrysler 200 wasn't the only FCA vehicle to receive the rating either--the Fiat 500X also scored a Top Safety Pick+. These high scores were due in part to the vehicles' having Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) systems, which rely on a mixutre of camera and radar systems to help improve driver safety.

As Mike Dahl, Head of Vehicle Safety and Regulatory Compliance at FCA-North America said, “These results are a clear indication of where we’re headed. That this advanced technology is available on these two distinctly different vehicles demonstrates our commitment to continue to incorporate AEB into our vehicle fleet.”
