What's New For 2026?
Listening to customer demand, Ram is bringing back the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 for 2026. A new Express trim also joins the lineup, offering excellent value without sacrificing performance. This budget-friendly trim can be had in several configurations, making it ideal for drivers who want a simple but custom experience.
Real World Performance
The Ram 1500 is the very definition of a powerful and feature-rich environment with options galore. The 3.0-liter Hurricane engine is rated at 420 horsepower and 469 lb.-ft. of torque, while the High Output engine achieves 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque. Ram also brought back the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 for 2026 with 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Along with the base V6, the Ram 1500 towing capacity ranges from 7,760 to 11,580 pounds. Likewise, the maximum payload ranges from 1,520 to 2,300 pounds, with up to 24 inches of water fording. It has four driving modes and an available Trailer Auto Hitch Assist.
The class-exclusive Active-Level™ Four Corner Air Suspension System available on crew cab models automatically lowers the truck to reduce drag and maximize fuel efficiency when at highway speed. With five drive modes, you can always fine-tune the RAM 1500 to work perfectly in a range of conditions.
You can control the powered tailgate with your key fob, a button in the overhead console, or the tailgate handle. Two 110-volt power outlets are inside the available RamBox® Cargo Management System.
