Powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, the Cherokee combines fuel economy with performance, giving drivers a range of approximately 500 miles per tank. With estimated 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway,* this SUV is economical to drive.
Unlike many other comparable vehicles, the Jeep® Cherokee comes with a V6 option, giving added horsepower and torque to a vehicle that is comfortable on and off the road. The 3.2-liter V6 engine delivers a whopping 271 hp compared to the 184 hp available with the four-cylinder version.
The 9-speed automatic transmission designed by ZF specifically for the Cherokee improves fuel economy and performance, so the V6 model outperforms some of its four-cylinder competition.
What really sets the Cherokee apart is the addition of the Selec-Terrain® system. Combining 12 different car systems, this traction control system helps the Cherokee navigate even the most touch-and-go surfaces. Manually control traction settings for snow, sport, sand/mud and rock, or select auto and let the Selec-Terrain® system take over.
All versions of the Cherokee come with standard options that set it apart, including Hill Assist, front and rear independent suspensions, electronic stability control and electric power steering.
